Last day of school!

It was the last day at College Street Normal School yesterday! Friday 17th of December 2015. I was a year six. I'm so sad that I am not  College Street kid anymore. I have learnt a lot in year six because not because I only had one year there because I had really great and fun teachers and friends. next year I'm going to P.I.N.S I Will miss this school and never forget it.

Marble season

     Marble season is here!!! Marble season is      when everyone gets their marbles and starts             trading or rolling for some. Marble season is really fun.

 

                         

Life education with Harold

We have been learning about our body and how they need to get healthy and also about what is peer pressure. We have been learning all about that with Harold the giraffe and Tim. One fact that I have learnt from him is that we have 10 billion cells in our brain WOW imagine that! I also learned other stuff too but that fact that was really interesting to me.

The paper challenge

The paper challenge is something that's really complicated and hard.  

The first time I saw the challenge I thought it would be easy to do, but when I tried I knew it was HARD! 

My group and I tried to make it but we failed the first time and second time and the third time. But then Miss Gordon gave us a big clue and she said "do not cut any bits off". That's when it made it harder for me. 

But then a boy in my group got it he took a piece of paper and made it, "we've got it!" he shouted I took from him and gave it to my teacher.

The Day Rave

In the holidays I went to the Day Rave in the Lido. We did a lot of things there like Kids Zumba, games and races, there also were giving some prizes for the winner but sadly I did not win any of the games and races ( We tied one game).

In Gri11 this term we are learning about businesses. We all had to go in groups and make up a business that we can sell and buy for real money! my group we chose to make cool,designed, colourful bookshelves. After we made our product we decided to make the price. The big bookshelves were for $15 and the small ones were for $10 Then we decided to sell them every so often like every Friday and Monday, sometimes we sell it on Thursday.

For daffodil day we remember the people who have cancer. We raise money to help the sick people and their families who have cancer. WE raise money by selling real/fake and daffodil stickers.

We have been learning about business this term, we had to get in groups of three and had 1 hour to start a business . In my group we choose to do a pet hotel. In my second group we had to start another business that was not invented still in the markets, so we choose to invent hover boards with shoes stuck to it. I don't really know if we are going to invent the products or not.

I did not know much about the solar system but now I know a lot about it.

Cross-Country writing.

I wrote a letter to the Dransfields who own the farm we used for Cross Country. Here it is...

Dear  Mrs and Mr  Dransfield,

Thank you for letting us use your farm as our Cross Country course. 
I wanted to share my Cross-Country experience with you..
So I started by jumping in the bus and went to the farm, we walked up the driveway and sat down on the blue tarpaulin. We waited and waited for two hours! So I had a healthy snack and a Sip of water so I was prepared. Finally it was our turn. The Year Sixes got in a straight line then the teacher had a gun so when he shot it in the sky we had to run. 3...2...1…Bang! went the gun. We all ran as fast as we could up the hill and passed the parents and children. They were cheering us as we passed them. I was really tired  at the halfway point but then I managed to get there. When I past Mr R he started taking videos of me while I was  running to share with Miss Gordon. There was a lot of stinky mud. It went on my shoes. YUK! The mud stuck to me like hot glue. Yay! finally I finished the Cross Country but I didn't come first, second or third that was a little bit sad, but that's ok at least I had fun. I went and sat down and  had a sip of water and some food. We went down the driveway and on to the bus and went back to school again.
I had so much fun!!!

My favourite thing to do

My favourite thing to do is colouring. Colouring is creative you can draw then colour in, you can colour in colouring books too. Colouring is my habit. 

Our phase 1 inquiry 

Our inquiry for this week is to do a music video for our grill song. Every group  gets a part from the song and does their idea about it.   

My weekend

My week end was fun I jumped in the car and  went to the Lido.  When I went i had to go and change so i went off to change.After I changed I went to the pool but then i found out that there was a huge water slide outside so i walked as fast as i can to go there. There was stairs that were really long i went up there and waited for my turn. Finally it was my turn i went and  slid down. "Wooooohooo" I shouted as I went down the big water slide. That was really fun i went and tried every thing outside. Then it was cold so I went inside and played in the inside pool.It was time to go now so i went to change and go home. 

Inquiry

For our inquiry in Grill this week we got to choose something about expression. In my group we chose art because there is a lot of things to learn about art. The artist that we chose to research was Claude Monet.
